The other day Samsung published detailed specifications for the Galaxy A42 5G smartphone, and now it has revealed the start date of sales of the new product.
When should we wait?
So, the device will go on sale in Europe on 6 November. In the UK the novelty will cost from 349 pounds, while in other European countries the smartphone will cost from 349 euros. By the way, it will be the cheapest 5G Samsung smartphone. Whether it will get to us – no information yet.
Recall that the novelty received a 6.6-inch Infinity-U HD + Super AMOLED display, plastic case and eight-core processor Snapdragon 750G with built-in 5G-modem. The smartphone also has a 5000 mAh battery, a 48 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP + 5 MP quad-camera, 20 MP front, NFC and 4/6/8 GB RAM. Powered by a novelty on the Android 10 operating system with the proprietary One UI shell.
So, the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G has a 6.6-inch Infinity-U HD+ Super AMOLED display. A plastic case with three colours: Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White and Prism Dot Gray. The smartphone received an eight-core processor. With a built-in 5G modem as well as two 2.2 GHz cores and four 1.8 GHz cores. The company did not specify a chip model, but this is probably the new SoC Snapdragon 750G.
- Four camera modules were placed at the back of the device. The main sensor is 48 MP wide angle (f/1.8). It is complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide angle lens (f/2.0), a 5 MP depth sensor (f/2.4) and a 5 MP macro sensor (f/2.4). The main camera is new at 20 MP. The smartphone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery, which supports fast 15 Watt charging.
- The Galaxy A42 5G has a subscreen scanner and headphone jack, but nothing is said about NFC. The device will be supplied in three versions: 4/128 GB, 6/128 GB or 8/128 GB. The built-in storage device can be extended with a memory card.
